The caudex markings on this specimen are exceptionally
prominent for the species. Their beautiful arrangement and
the symmetry of the trunks are without equal.
Plant pictured in Volume II Bonsai Succulents by Philippe de Vosjoli & Rudi Lime on page 167, where it is wrongly named F. purpusii. Some people in Southern California actually think that the plant may be a Hybrid of the two.
